Who doesn't like to relax with a glass of sparkling wine! And, how about some knowledge about how to appreciate the wine you are enjoying? The Good Tastes of Tuscany, member IFWA, offers Tuscan Wine Tasting Course for those who want to learn the art of appreciating Tuscan wines.
History of Wine and Wine Making
The sprawling Estate of Pandolfini, its huge cellar along with the historical archives is the venue for the wine tasting classes. Dr. Stefano Tofanelli, who has specialised in Enology, Dott. will conduct the classes. The duration of the class is four hours. A wine tasting kit is provided for the participants. They will visit the vineyard and receive a briefing about the kind of grapes, and effets of climate and soil on the quality of wines. Once back in the cellar, they can listen to a brief history on wines and process involved in making them.
Serving the wine is itself an art. Learn about the interesting mechanics of wine serving that includes details on the wine glasses, bottles, corkscrews, cork, and various other trivia.
Tasting the Wine
Wine is an intoxicating drink, and drink it straight from your glass! Is that all? Learn the tactics involved in appreciating the wine while you taste them. Also learn how and why the Aroma Wheel is used.
What Food, What Wine
Everybody is more concerned about using the right kind of wine for the menu that is chosen. The wine tasting course will help you to identify the right kind of wine that can be paired with the menu of choice.
Which Wine to Select
Participants will have the opportunity to know more about the things to consider and remember while selecting the kind of wine for the cellar. Learn some of the different selection techniques that will be of help while selecting the wine.
